If you follow the @guccibeauty Instagram account like we do, you’ve been watching on pins and needles as the brand has hinted towards the resurrection of its once makeup line (so appropriately named Gucci Beauty) after a several year hiatus. This past Saturday, the brand did just that after four days of taunting us via the ‘Gram with its unique, albeit confusing ad campaign.
At first glance, the latest unveiling under the label’s Creative Director Alessandro Michele looks promising, with the roll out of 58 inclusive shades of dreamy lipstick variations on gucci.com. The new selection offers three formulas: Rouge à Lèvres Satin (a classic satin finish with intense color), Rouge à Lèvres Voile (a sheer formula that gives a luminous a pop of color) and Baume à Lèvres (a tinted and transparent lip balm to leave a feeling of hydration and moisture). All three formulas have a subtle scent of violet to them. And of course, the golden bullets of color live true to the brand’s stellar design standards with its mint, petite floral, and gold detailed packaging.
