Everyone has those weird little quirks and habits that they do on a regular basis. Some people talk to themselves, some count things in a slight nod to OCD, some pretend they are hosting their own cooking show each time they prep a meal in the kitchen (ahem, James). We’ve also heard about toenail biters, primal screamers, people who hold their breath when someone sneezes in an effort to not catch germs, some who make bets with themselves (if I throw this crumpled up receipt into the trash from a distance, I’ll win a million dollars), and our all time favorite “I pretend that the microwave is a bomb and stop it at 0:01 seconds, feeling like I just saved the world.”
Out of sheer curiosity and for the sake of pure entertainment, we want to know…what are some of your strange habits or weird confessions that make you, you? Join the conversation.

July 30, 2019 at 7:47 pmWhenever I sneeze, regardless of if people say “bless you” to me… I say “bless me” out loud as a form of genuinely saying it to myself. Most people think I’m telling them to bless me and it’s gotten me many a looks.

July 31, 2019 at 9:19 amI cannot eat breakfast sandwiches, grilled cheese, or PB&Js whole. I have to pull them apart and eat them “open faced.” I guess it’s similar to pulling Oreos apart and eating the cream first. Totally weird but it’s been that way my whole life!

August 15, 2019 at 3:51 pmYes to the bets with myself (but also if I’m anticipating news – “If I get the receipt in the bin, xyz will come true”). Also, counting my teeth with my tongue (in two’s – balance) or door frames in multiples of two but throughout the house; and sorting Skittles/M&Ms into colors and then eating them in pairs. Some of that was difficult to type just because it’s so absurd! 🙂
